CHOOSING PROXIES

Dedicated vs shared datacenter proxies

The quick answerA dedicated proxy reserves a public IP for your rental. A shared proxy allows multiple customers to use the same IP. Exclusive allocation limits who uses the IP during your rental, but it does not erase its history or promise access to a retailer.

Compare allocation, not just the label

Providers define products differently. Confirm whether “private” means exclusive public IPv4 allocation, individual credentials on a shared endpoint, or something else.

Can someone else’s concurrent traffic affect it?Other customers are not assigned that same rental IP.Other customers’ activity can share that exit IP.

Dedicated does not mean a new or residential IP

An address can be exclusive for your current rental and still have been used before. Datacenter addresses also remain datacenter addresses when they are dedicated. Treat claims about “fresh,” “clean,” or “unbanned” IPs as separate claims that need evidence.

Dropstride allocates a dedicated public IPv4 during your rental. Addresses may have been allocated previously. We do not promise IP reputation, bypassing website challenges, or successful purchases.

Match the allocation to your client

If your client needs a fixed endpoint and you want to avoid sharing that address with other Dropstride customers during the rental, dedicated allocation fits that requirement. If your task needs rotating addresses, a location selector, or SOCKS5, those are separate capabilities; they are not part of the current Dropstride product.

Check the client’s supported format before purchase. Dropstride exports one line per address as IP:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD.

Compare the whole rental cost

Dropstride charges US$2.00 per IP for 24 hours and 1 GB per proxy. For a fair comparison with another offer, align the duration, exclusive allocation, included traffic, and minimum order first.

A monthly shared plan and a one-day dedicated rental are different products. A lower headline per-IP price may also require a larger pack or longer commitment. Do not assume a daily rental is cheaper over a full month.
